Kids Say the Darndest Things
Here are some samples:
Gabby: Mommy, i have a girl friend...
Me: Who is your girlfriend?
Gabby: Ate Winslet...she's hard to get!
I even experimented to find out if he knew the meaning of the term girlfriend or boyfriend. When we were wathching TV i pointed out to a certain guy and announced "He is my boyfriend!" Gabby started to cry and shouted "No, mommy! Daddy is your boyfriend!" So there you go! He knows!
One time, we were watching a cartoon show with a horse in it, i forgot exactly what show it was. Gabby started screaming at the horse on the TV "Damn you horse!", shocked, I asked him again what he just said. And very as-matter-of-fact he told me "Mommy, i said damn you horse."
So when there are times that he reacts to something with an "Oh man!" or "Oh my God!" it doesn't really surprise me anymore.
Attending school has really developed Gabriel's social skills. He is not timid around strangers and he can adjust to situations real good. It's just that he picks-up words and ideas that I would really not have him use yet. But I guess that is every other parent's dilemma.

Summer's Past
I should say that this year's summer was fun and fruitful for Gabby and Marc. Gabby attended swimming classes, while Marc experienced his first outing.
Below are photos of our various outings and events during the summer of 2006.
Gabby poses during a break in his swim class.
Gabby and his school mates. Believe it or not some of these
kids are already 5 to 7 yrs old.

Gabby and Marc poses with daddy at Malabon Zoo.

We also visited Esplanade at the back of MOA. Gabby and Marc
walked and ran to their heart's content.

We also had a family outing in Laguna.
Hope next year's summer would be as much fun as this one!

Before I forget...
Gabby gave me a rose and greeted me a Happy Valentine's Day.
A very precious moment.

Nice flowers from daddy.
Two's a company
- expensive baby stuff gets to be reused
- outings and family affairs are more fun
- more love to pass around
I am sure there are more than three reasons but I'm happy with what I know.
Wait, I have another one, there is more reason to smile while looking at photos.

Marc just had to get his feet up for this photo op.

We took them one weekend to Gbox where Marc experienced his first kiddie ride.
Gabby is shown here with his pogi smile and Marc with his "duh" face.

The Kulets at home on our way to church.

This is Marcus now. This was taken one early morning, 5 am to be exact.
He wakes me up by shouting at top of his lungs, "A-tihhhhhhh!"

Cute boy!

Gabby is a very inquisitive boy. He is not afraid to ride the big horse by himself now.
He's always asking "What's that mommy?" or "What shape is that?"

Pretty, pretty pictures!

Gabby and Marc are so handsome. I can't believe that they are so big now.
Actually, most people who see them can't believe that they are just 2.5 and 10 months old.

Marc is wearing his Kuya Gabby's polo that we bought when he was 1 year old.

Simply, angels!

I hope that they grow up just as close as they are now.
Gabby, Mario and I watched Narnia last night and the boy was just a chatter box! He is so cute whenever he imitates how I and Mario talk. "Wait for Daddy here, Mommy!" pointing to the space beside him on the sofa or "My daddy, my daddy, where is daddy?" when Mario went behind the TV to fix the cables.
Marc is a happy, happy child. He loves to be outside and play with people, be tickled, be chased around. He loves Barney! He loves to play Itsy, bitsy spider, sing Six Little Ducks and Barney's I Love You Song.
Bliss!

Fireworks!
A sample of Australia's show. Bgy. Leon Guinto is seen at the foreground watching the show.
Photo of Marc, Mommy and Gabby taken after the show while waiting for other spectators to leave.

CJ and Gabby had more fun running around after the show.

Gabby with his pogi-smile. When we went home after the show, Gabby and his Daddy was cuddling on the bed getting ready to sleep. Gabby said "Daddy, Gabby takot fireworks kanina." He is starting to form sentences now. Last night I bought lollipops for him and CJ, when i went down to the sala after changing clothes, Gabby shouted "Mommy, Gabby eating lollipop!"

Marcus was too scared during the entire show. He was only able to smile while we were resting. He is wearing Ninang Joy's Christmas gift, a jumpsuit terno that he should be wearing often before he grows too big for it.

Trying to keep up
Harbour Square
There is this newly developed family hang-out place in CCP called Harbour Square. It is a plaza encircled by a number of restaurants. Situated at the bay, it a perfect spot for early night strolls and family dinner.
We visited the place with Ate Tuning, CJ and Winslet.

Residence Inn, Tagaytay
We went to Residence Inn, Tagaytay and met up with Ruby, Rod and Molly. This is one of Marcus' first outing.

Star City
Barangay Leon Guinto went to Star City and everyone had a blast. Except for Marcus who fell asleep even before we reached the place.

Swimming at Sta. Catalina
We took the boys to Cavite where they had a sleep over at Lolo Bibo's house. In the afternoon we went swimming at the Club House. It was Marcus' first time in a pool and he had a blast!

As you can see, Gabby is fast growing up but he is still a sweet little baby. I sure wish that I can make time stand still so that there will be more time to spend with him.
Marcus is such a happy baby but it looks like he is going to be more makulit than his kuya. As early as 8 months he is starting to pester his kuya waking him up very early in the morning by screaming.
